How we work with our clients

Ace Business Solutions does not lock the client into a contract, so the client is free to terminate the payroll processing arrangement at any time. On the other hand, Ace Business Solutions commits to deliver the services required and offered on an ongoing basis.

A big advantage in outsourcing your payroll processing to Ace Business Solutions, is that we use Crystal Payroll. We took a long time in deciding which payroll system to adopt to replace the PC based system that we used for over 20 years. We chose Crystal for many reasons. Firstly, it had to be an online system. This future-proofs the payroll function for all our clients. If for any reason we were unable to process your payroll, all your data is safe and immediately available to you. Secondly, we needed to ensure that the payroll system was 100% compliant with the Holidays Act and the various other laws relating to payroll. Many employers have unwittingly fallen foul of the law because their payroll system was not compliant. We are confident that Crystal is compliant with the law, and our clients need have no concerns in this area. Thirdly, we needed to know that Crystal provided a high level of support. This is essential with any software. There is nothing worse than having a problem that cannot be solved quickly. Having met with the Crystal team before making the commitment, we were impressed with their commitment to providing support for their clients, and having become a Crystal partner, we are so grateful for the amazing level of support their dedicated team provides. Don’t be fooled by claims that processing payroll is easy. All payroll systems are different, and all of them take a lot of getting used to. If it was easy, everyone would be processing their own payroll with no problems. Having now worked with Crystal for some time, we have reached the stage where we can process payrolls with confidence, and rarely need support, but it took a while. It is important in any business to focus on your core activities, and not get distracted by things which can easily be outsourced. That is why that, despite us loving working with figures, we don’t do our own annual financial accounts. We outsource this, as it is a very specialised function.
